The Business of Pottery
This class is for students who are already independent in the studio and want to learn the process of creating a business out of their pottery. This includes an overview of common outlets for sales, basic studio operations and record keeping strategies. Passing this class requires preparing a business plan package that can act as a guide for future business operations. Students must have access to a computer with internet, be able to complete basic algebra and have basic writing skills.
Classes are an hour in length with an hour of practice available immediately after. Additional practice time is available when the wheels aren’t in use. Class size is limited to two students.
